Juicy

Under the light of a darkening sky, you approach.

Between the shade and purple mist, covetor and coveted lie entangled, lost, found,

too soon.

Reality beats chemistry, beats against the heart,

not for it.

But head and heart, hand in hand, one on one…

Tongue

Taste

Touch…

Peel the rind, score the mind, sear the eyes, sweet surprise…

the flow of juice,

limbs now loose

and wanting.

Still wanting.

  1. Thanks! Before last week when I started this blog, I had only ever shared my poetry and prose with one very special person. He’s an author and doesn’t hold back when it comes to critiques. Years ago I sent him a couple of poems I’d written and his response sent me running for cover!!

I’m braver now, having come through the wars in this life and especially these past 12 months (more of which in a blog I’m working on). I love your poems by the way. It seems love/life has not always dealt you a fair hand.

    I sense a kindred spirit.
